These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Westbridge Institute website at wbridge.uk and the online English test and CEFR certificate service we provide. By taking the test or purchasing a certificate you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Westbridge Institute provides an online English proficiency test. On completing the test you receive a CEFR level based on your answers. You may then choose to purchase a personalised certificate that records your name, the level awarded, a unique certificate ID and the date of issue.
You must provide accurate and complete information when ordering a certificate, including your correct full name and a valid email address. The certificate is issued using exactly the details you provide. We are not responsible for errors caused by incorrect information you have entered.
The test measures your English ability against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is an independent online assessment. It is not an examination of any university, government body or official examination board, and it does not by itself guarantee acceptance by any institution. You are responsible for confirming that the certificate meets the requirements of any third party you intend to present it to.
The price of the certificate is shown clearly before payment and is charged in euros (EUR). Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your certificate is generated and delivered once payment has been confirmed.
No refunds are available once a certificate has been issued. The certificate is a personalised digital product that is generated for you immediately after payment. Because it is produced and delivered the moment your payment is confirmed, the purchase is final and non-refundable from that point onward.
By completing your purchase you acknowledge that the certificate is created specifically for you and you expressly request its immediate delivery. You therefore agree that your right to cancel is lost once the certificate has been issued, and that no refund will be given after that point.
If you experience a genuine technical problem - for example you were charged but no certificate was generated - contact us and we will investigate and put it right, either by issuing the certificate you paid for or, where it cannot be delivered, by refunding that specific transaction.
Your certificate is delivered electronically. It is made available for download on the success page after payment and is also sent to the email address you provided. Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it. We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by an incorrect email address.
Your certificate is issued to you personally. You must not alter, forge, resell or misrepresent it. We may invalidate any certificate that we reasonably believe has been obtained or used fraudulently.
All content on this website, including the test, the certificate design, logos and text, is the property of Westbridge Institute and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy or reproduce it without our permission, other than retaining your own issued certificate for personal use.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westbridge Institute is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in connection with any certificate is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of the service for maintenance or other reasons.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your purchase, shown by the "last updated" date above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
